This is the view from my bedroom, ahhh peace and quiet, no stress, the only thing you have to worry about is what you are going to eat. (mmm...I love to eat...)

Varas

Since I commented on Varas being a great spot to stay in the Cooks, here it is. (The house at the top of the hill) There are different types of places you can stay in, one is a hostel type building right at the water, there are apartments you can rent, or houses you can share. This one is just up the hill, and its where we stayed, we had our own room that you could lock, but shared the bathroom and kitchen. It only cost us 15NZ Dollars/night each. Always barter! You can always get a better price. The view was amazing and it was nice to be somewhat secluded off of the busy road.
